Teen patti is a three-card gambling-style card game from the Indian subcontinent, closely related to the English game three-card brag. Each player receives three cards face down from a standard 52-card deck and the strongest hand wins the pot. It is traditionally played at Diwali gatherings.
What beats what in teen patti?
From strongest to weakest: Trail (three of a kind), Pure Sequence (straight flush), Sequence (straight), Color (flush), Pair, and High Card. Note that this differs from poker — in teen patti a straight beats a flush, which is the reverse of poker.
Is teen patti a game of skill or luck?
Both. The cards you are dealt are pure chance, but decisions about when to fold, when to stay blind, how much to raise and when to call a sideshow are skill-based. Over a single hand luck dominates; over hundreds of hands, decision quality matters more.
